New Catholic outreach groups to hold Zoom gathering
Prayer support at last month’s Hope and Renewal Summit in Palmerston North (Central Catholic/Facebook)
Mission Hub NZ was launched at the recent Hope and Renewal Summit in Palmerston North to help disciples in New Zealand build a culture of prayer, leadership and mission in their parishes. It provides a space where people can come together to lift the nation in prayer, connect with like-minded missionary disciples and be equipped for the work of renewal in their parishes and communities.
The first online session will take place on Monday, November 10, at 7pm. Each month, disciples will gather via Zoom for a time of prayer, inspiring input and small group discussion. These sessions offer encouragement shared learning, and the opportunity to grow in confidence as missionary disciples.
The Zoom session is a collaboration with Catholic Enquiry Connect, a new network for people who want to help others take their next step in faith. This month’s topic is “Prayer that Fuels Renewal”.
The Mission Hub is about fanning the flame of renewal through simple but powerful rhythms of connection, formation and prayer. Each day, participants are encouraged to pray intentionally for the renewal of their own hearts, their parishes and the country. This daily commitment anchors the mission in a deep relationship with God and keeps the focus on personal conversion as the foundation for wider renewal.
Four times a year, the Mission Hub will move offline and into local communities with regional gatherings. These in-person sessions include shared meals, prayer, formation and discussion – opportunities to strengthen friendships, deepen faith and celebrate what God is doing across the country.
Everyone is invited to be part of this movement of renewal. Register for the Zoom session on Monday, November 10, at 7pm by following THIS LINK or emailing missionhubnz@gmail.com.
