Thousands of people work in various Catholic ministries throughout Aotearoa New Zealand. This CathNews Careers page has been established to support Catholic entities who are looking to recruit staff for their organisations, and a place for people keen to work in Catholic settings to find a job.

Catholic organisations are able to list vacancies here for up to 30 days at the cost of $100 (incl. GST). The site will contain an abstract of a job listing posted on another website (up to 100 words), directing interested parties to that site for more information and to apply.

Theology Lecturer | Te Kupenga – Catholic Theological College

Te Kupenga – Catholic Theological College (CTC) is the sole provider of Catholic theological, ministry and religious education qualifications in New Zealand. We serve a Catholic community of over 470,000, comprising 237 Catholic schools that teach over 70,000 New Zealand children.

Catholic Theological College is seeking an exceptional tertiary level lecturer to join the College in Semester 1, 2027. The role will primarily be teaching Theology at Level 7 (Bachelors in Divinity and Graduate Diploma in Theology). Particular focus will be on Dogmatic and Spiritual Theology. However, the role also expects some degree of flexibility to be able to teach Religious Education studies at L5 (Certificate Level) and L6 (Diploma Level).
