Wellington Archdiocese launches new website
Archbishop Paul Martin SM (NZCBC)
The new website “has been a while coming”, Archbishop Paul Martin SM said in a video announcement, adding that the website has been created “in order for us to be more up-to-date and to be able to provide an environment that is more friendly for you to find things”.
“If you have a look at it, which I am encouraging you to do,” Archbishop Martin said, “you will find lots of the things that you found before on the previous site, but also some new resources, new ways of accessing information, especially around Mass times around the diocese, resources for prayer life, for linking into our schools, opportunities if you would like to donate – you will be able to do that simply and easily.”
The archbishop said he hopes the new website will be “for us a place where we can refresh and update the latest information so if you want to know things that are happening, or to find resources, you will find this”.
“There are many ways that we get information, but we are really trying to put a lot of effort into making our website useful, accessible and helpful in your faith life and in the life of our diocese and communities,” he said.
Among the information on the new website is material about Catholic Social Services, vocations, attendance dues for schools and more. This old website redirects to the new site.
