Hamilton Diocese gets Jubilee BBQ trailer
(Clearly/Catholic Diocese of Hamilton)
According to the Hamilton Diocese website, the BBQ trailer was “made possible thanks to the generous support of the Bernadette Trust, whose hope is that it would serve as a practical resource for building community across our diocese”.
The BBQ is available to hire for events ranging from groundbreaking blessings, jubilees and parish picnics, to any other special gathering.
“We’re so pleased to be able to offer the Jubilee BBQ Trailer for use by parishes, ministries and schools throughout the Diocese of Hamilton,” a booklet on the diocesan website stated.
“Sharing kai is not just about nourishment – it’s an expression of welcome, belonging and joy. As Catholics, we uniquely understand that community happens around the table – not only in the Eucharist, but also in our own whare, where some of the most meaningful encounters take place over a shared meal.
“So, whether it’s used to host a celebration, support a fundraiser or cook meals for those doing it tough, we’re so pleased that this trailer can be part of your mission. We’re honoured to share this resource with you, and we can’t wait to see the many ways you’ll put it to good use.”
The Diocese does not charge a hiring fee for the trailer, but it does charge a cleaning fee.
